A lovely lady who searched for flatpack furniture assembly services on Google called Reading Handyman and asked us if we could assemble 2 “small” Argos wardrobes in Basingstoke. We don’t normally travel to Basingstoke to do “small jobs” but on this occasion, we agreed to do it.

There are a few things you should know before you hire someone to assemble your furniture.

The price quoted doesn’t include carrying your furniture up and down the stairs. Please move all the boxes into the room where they will be assembled. Also, please make sure that you create enough free space in your room where the assembly process will take place. Most flatpack items need to be assembled on the floor then lifted and moved into position. Our assemblers will charge you extra if they have to move existing furniture or carry boxes from your garden, garage or anywhere else.

If you want to secure your furniture to the wall then please let us know in advance. Furniture anchoring will cost you a bit extra. You won’t get wall plugs or screws when you buy furniture so our handyman we will provide that. We will also check for any hidden live wires and pipes in the walls before we drill through them.
