A water leak in the bathroom caused tons of water to end up in the hallway. Owners used dehumidifiers for a while but it was too late. The subfloor was soaking wet and mouldy. After removing the first plank it was clear that everything underneath is covered in black mould and extremely wet. We’ll go back to fit new flooring once everything is dry and free from mould.

💡 Original flooring fitters used 2 layers of underlay in certain places instead of levelling the floor properly causing the floor to be ‘bouncy’ so we’ll be levelling the floor before new underlay and floorboards are laid.
